Strong showing at the Marcus I meet

Sep 8, 2008 - 10:05:26 AM - Cleburne’s boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Marcus I meet on Saturday.
In
the boys varsity race, Tyler Chappell claimed ninth place to lead the
Yellow Jackets with a time of 18:13.55. Carlos Chavez (18:52.8), Hogan
Harrison (19:00.45), Miguel Garcia (19:27.2), Ross Kelley (20:44.5) and
Tyler Bullard (20:55.05) also competed for the varsity boys.
In
the varsity girls race, Cleburne’s Hillary McNutt ran a time of 13:26.2
to claim 25th place and lead the Lady Jackets. Layce Sloan (13:41.55),
Melaina Chapman (13:41.95), Jade Blair (14:02.9), Deanna Moser
(14:09.3) and Jennifer Moser (14:42) also competed.
Josh Johnson
led the junior varsity boys with a 39th-place finish after clocking a
time of 22:02.5. Dakota Mizell (22:20.7), Lewis McAdoo (22:31.9),
Justin Strealy (24:07.5), Tim McDonald (24:39.25) and Matt Sisk
(24:49.95) also ran in the race.
Daisy Horta led the Lady Jackets junior varsity girls with a time of 15:12.85.

Allen (15:44.9), Teresa Benhumea (15:54), Emily Pittman (16:21.85),
Nancy Olguin (16:32), Barbarita Sierra (16:32.05), Brittany Ramirez
(16:46.75), Shelby Clark (16:47.6), Alexis Lozano (16:56.15), Terri
Williams (17:13.4), Melanie Adams (17:13.4), Lacey Patterson
(18:02.55), Kendall Bailey (18:13.4), Alysha Conner (18:42.35) and
Desirae Delatorre (18:50.95) also competed.
