Friday night’s halftime performance by Cleburne’s Golden Pride Band will also serve as a warm-up for its first competition of the season — Saturday’s United States Scholastic Band Association marching contest at Burleson High School.
The Pride will unveil the third — and final — movement of their UIL marching program, “Electronic Evolution,” before the home crowd in attendance at Friday’s football game with Midlothian.
Golden Pride Band Booster Joy McHargue said she hopes the home crowd will turn out Saturday to give the band a send-off as it departs for the first of two scheduled competitions before the Region VII UIL marching contest, set for Oct. 18.
