Commercials spoil Saturday morning TV

Recently another icon from my childhood disappeared. Dick Wilson, who
made “Please don’t squeeze the Charmin” a national slogan as the
harried shopkeeper Mr. Whipple trying to prevent happy housewives from
molesting the very soft toilet paper, died of natural causes at the age
of 91.

As the end of school draws near, students get a tad bit antsy, whether at lunch in the cafeteria or in parking lot traveling to each class. Some of this behavior can lead to the traditional ZZZs in class or it can lead to the occasional ‘tension’ between friends.

Every girl has the urge to have a good laugh and cry over a romantic comedy while eating some Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Kleenex box in hand, spoon ready girls prepare to enjoy a good tear-jerker. Predictabilty is what they seek. However, predictabilty can lead to boredom and a distorted view of life.

Texas politics has reached an all-time low.
First there was Clayton Williams and his crude remarks about women and rape. Now it’s Kinky Friedman’s comment about African Americans and Katrina evacuees.
